Hainan Airlines sees strong operational growth in september

Hainan Airlines Holding announced robust operational performance for September 2025, with revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) increasing by 7.04% to 11,148.19 million. International RPK saw a substantial 23.47% rise, contributing to a 9.03% increase in total RPK for the year-to-date. Passenger numbers also grew, with 5,706.39 thousand passengers carried in September, up 2.53% year-on-year.

The airline's capacity, measured by available seat kilometers (ASK), increased by 5.84% in September, reaching 13,097.57 million. Despite this expansion, the passenger load factor improved by 0.96 percentage points to 85.12%. Cargo operations also demonstrated strong growth, with cargo and mail revenue tonne kilometers (RTK) up 23.42% and a cargo and mail load factor increase of 10.72 percentage points, reaching 58.85%.

As of the end of September 2025, Hainan Airlines operated a fleet of 354 aircraft, following the addition of one A321NEO and the retirement of one B737-800 during the month. The company also expanded its international network, launching new routes from Chongqing to Haikou and Auckland, Changchun to Haikou and Singapore, and Haikou to Jakarta in September.
