COFCO Sugar to appoint new director after board member's resignation

COFCO Tunhe Sugar announced the resignation of Ms. Xiao Jianping as a non-independent director due to work adjustments. Her departure will take effect upon the election of a new non-independent director at the upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). The board has nominated Mr. Wu Haojun to fill the vacancy, with his term to begin upon shareholder approval at the EGM. Mr. Wu Haojun, born in June 1968, has a rich background in COFCO Group, holding various leadership positions including general manager and party committee secretary at COFCO Futures Co., Ltd.

The company will convene its Third Extraordinary General Meeting of 2025 on November 3, 2025, at 13:30 in Beijing, China. Shareholders can participate in person or via online voting through the Shanghai Stock Exchange's network voting system. The EGM will primarily address the election of Mr. Wu Haojun as a non-independent director.

The voting period for online participation will be from 9:15 to 15:00 on November 3, 2025. Shareholders are advised to complete identity verification for internet voting.
