Baiyun Airport reports mixed September 2025 operating results

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Co., Ltd. announced its production and operation data for September 2025, showing a rise in aircraft movements and passenger throughput but a slight decline in cargo and mail.

In September, total aircraft movements increased by 9.15% to 43,346, contributing to a year-to-date total of 405,732, up 7.23%. Passenger throughput for the month saw a 10.84% rise, reaching 6,601,024 person-times, bringing the cumulative figure to 61,098,298 person-times, an increase of 8.44%.

Domestic passenger traffic continued to be a strong driver, with domestic passenger throughput up 10.82% in September and 5.95% year-to-date. International passenger throughput also showed robust growth, increasing by 11.36% for the month and a significant 20.03% year-to-date.

However, total cargo and mail throughput experienced a slight decrease of 0.78% in September to 201,269.94 tonnes. Despite this monthly dip, the year-to-date cargo and mail volume still grew by 1.82% to 1,779,287.27 tonnes. The company noted that the monthly data are preliminary and may differ from actual figures.
