Power Construction Corp of China secures major Saudi solar projects

Power Construction Corp of China (PCCC) has announced the signing of two major contracts for solar IPP projects in Saudi Arabia. Through a consortium formed by its subsidiaries, PCCC has secured contracts for the Afif 1 and Afif 2 Photovoltaic IPP Projects with Saudi Afif Renewable Energy Company.

The total contract value for these two projects amounts to approximately RMB 5.843 billion and RMB 5.876 billion, respectively. Both projects are located in Afif Town, Riyadh Province, in the central region of Saudi Arabia. The scope of work includes the construction of 2000MW photovoltaic fields, 33/132kV booster stations, 132kV transmission lines, partial grid connection facilities, interface facilities, and access roads. The contract period for both projects is 26 months.
