Air China names Liu Tiexiang new chairman as Ma Chongxian steps down

Air China Limited announced today that Ma Chongxian has resigned from his positions as executive director and chairman due to work adjustments. He will also cease to be the chairman of the board's Strategy and Investment Committee, Nomination Committee, and a member of the Aviation Safety Committee, effective immediately. The company expressed gratitude for his contributions.

Following Ma's departure, Air China's Seventh Board of Directors convened its eighth meeting, which approved the election of Liu Tiexiang as the new chairman. Liu will concurrently serve as the chairman of the board's Strategy and Investment Committee, Nomination Committee, and a member of the Aviation Safety Committee.

Additionally, a temporary shareholders' meeting affirmed Liu Tiexiang's appointment as an executive director. The company also approved the change of its authorized representative in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from Ma Chongxian to Liu Tiexiang.
