Zhejiang Zheneng Electric Power to pay CNY 0.05 semi-annual cash dividend

Zhejiang Zheneng Electric Power Co., Ltd. has announced its 2025 semi-annual equity distribution, with a cash dividend of CNY 0.05 per share (inclusive of tax) for A-share holders. This distribution will be based on the company's total share capital of 13,408,732,749 shares, amounting to a total cash dividend of CNY 670,436,637.45. The distribution was approved by the company's fifth board of directors on August 28, 2025, following authorization from the 2024 annual general meeting held on May 29, 2025.

The equity registration date for A-shares is set for October 16, 2025, with the ex-dividend date and cash dividend payment date both scheduled for October 17, 2025. Dividends for eligible shareholders registered with China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited Shanghai Branch by the close of business on the equity registration date will be distributed through their capital clearing system.

Tax implications vary for different investor types. Natural person shareholders holding shares for over one year are exempt from individual income tax on the dividend, while those holding for one year or less will have tax withheld upon share transfer. Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFIIs) and non-resident enterprise shareholders will have a 10% corporate income tax withheld, resulting in a net dividend of CNY 0.045 per share.
