Agricultural Bank of China names Liu Hong new executive director

Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) announced that Liu Hong resigned from his position as vice president, effective September 22, 2025, due to a change in duties. This follows his appointment as deputy party secretary of ABC in August 2025. Liu Hong confirmed no disagreements with the board and completed all handover procedures. The bank expressed gratitude for his contributions during his tenure as a senior management member.

Concurrently, ABC's board of directors, in a meeting held on September 22, 2025, approved the nomination of Liu Hong as a candidate for executive director. His appointment is contingent on approval from the bank's shareholders and regulatory clearance from the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Once approved, his term will be three years from the date of regulatory approval.

Liu Hong, born in August 1968, holds a Master's in Public Administration and is a senior economist. His career at ABC includes roles such as deputy general manager of human resources, director of the supervisory board office, and president of the Qinghai branch. He has no known conflicts of interest or adverse regulatory records that would disqualify him from the directorship.
