PetroChina announces departure of director and president Huang Yongzhang

PetroChina Company Limited announced that Huang Yongzhang has resigned from his positions as director, president, member of the investment and development committee, and chairman of the sustainable development committee, effective September 19, 2025. Huang cited work-related changes as the reason for his departure and will no longer hold any positions within the company or its controlled subsidiaries.

Huang's tenure was scheduled to run until June 2026. PetroChina confirmed that his resignation will not cause the number of board members to fall below the statutory minimum, nor will it affect the board's normal operations. The company will proceed with the necessary procedures to elect and appoint new directors and personnel in accordance with legal requirements.

PetroChina acknowledged Huang's diligent service, strategic vision, professional expertise, and innovative spirit during his tenure, crediting him with significant contributions to the company's stable operational performance and high-quality development. Huang has confirmed that there are no outstanding public commitments that he needs to fulfill, and he has completed the necessary handover procedures.
