CITIC Securities unit issues $3.2m notes guaranteed by subsidiary

CITIC Securities Company Limited announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, CSI MTN Limited, issued $3.2 million in medium-term notes on September 19, 2025. This issuance falls under an existing medium-term note program established on March 29, 2022, and is guaranteed by CITIC Securities International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Securities. Following this issuance, the total principal amount of outstanding notes under the program stands at $2.726 billion.

The guarantee was approved by the board of directors and shareholders of CITIC Securities International. The primary purpose of the notes is to supplement the operating capital of the guarantor's group. CITIC Securities maintains 100% ownership of CSI MTN Limited through CITIC Securities International, allowing for close monitoring of its solvency and mitigating risk.

As of the announcement date, CITIC Securities and its controlled subsidiaries' total external guarantees amounted to RMB182.15 billion, representing 62.14% of the company's most recently audited net assets. All these guarantees are provided by the company and its controlled subsidiaries to their own controlled subsidiaries. The company has no overdue guarantees.
