China Metallurgical Group's new contract awards decline 18.2% but overseas grows

Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC) announced its new contract awards for January to August 2025 totaled 6,795.7 bn yuan, an 18.2% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Despite the overall decline, new overseas contract awards saw a positive trend, increasing by 8.9% to 642.2 bn yuan. The announcement also highlighted several major engineering contracts signed in August, each exceeding 1.0 bn yuan. These include China ENFI Engineering Corp.'s 2.6 bn yuan land remediation project in Shaoguan, China First Metallurgical Group's 1.2 bn yuan mixed light hydrocarbon gas project in Jingjiang County, and Shanghai Baoye Group's 1.18 bn yuan EPC contract for a steel pipe production line for Shanxi Tongcai Industry & Trade Co., Ltd.

MCC emphasizes that these figures are preliminary and intended for investor reference, with final data to be disclosed in subsequent regular reports.
