King Long Motor reports strong August sales despite production dip

Xiamen King Long Motor Group (600686) announced its production and sales data for August 2025, showing a slight decrease in overall vehicle production but a notable increase in sales. Total passenger vehicle production in August was 3,383 units, a 2.59% decrease compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date production reached 31,522 units, up 6.68% year-on-year.

In terms of sales, the company reported a robust performance with passenger vehicle sales reaching 4,074 units in August, marking a 23.60% increase from the previous year. Year-to-date sales totaled 29,986 units, up 3.30% compared to the same period last year.

Light passenger vehicles were a significant driver of sales growth, with a 51.15% increase in August sales to 1,977 units. Large passenger vehicle sales also saw a positive trend, rising by 15.89% to 1,561 units. However, medium passenger vehicle sales experienced a decrease of 16.38% in August, totaling 536 units. These figures are preliminary, with final data to be released in the company's regular reports.
