Zhejiang China Commodities City Group reports strong growth, leadership changes

Zhejiang China Commodities City Group has published its semi-annual assessment report for its "quality improvement, efficiency enhancement, and high returns" action plan, alongside resolutions from its Ninth Board of Directors' Thirty-Fourth Meeting on September 8, 2025. The company announced robust advancements in its global digital trade center, with the main project completed and over a thousand shops already positioned. Cross-border payments via Yiwu Pay surged to $2.5 bn, a 47% increase, and the company’s AI-powered Chinagoods platform saw over 1 bn user visits, boosting net profit by 109.69% to 155m yuan.

The Board approved the strategic divestment of the Haicheng Yiwu Small Commodities City project in June 2024, improving asset structure and reducing losses by over 100m yuan annually. Additionally, the company is investing 300m yuan into the second phase of the National Service Trade Fund, targeting cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses. Shareholder returns were prioritized with a dividend distribution of 3.30 yuan per 10 shares (tax inclusive) for 2024, and the controlling shareholder increased holdings by 1 bn yuan.

Furthermore, the Board approved the appointment of Mr. Wu Gang as deputy general manager and the establishment of a global digital trade center hotel branch. This new branch aims to integrate hotel resources and enhance operational efficiency for the global digital trade center. Mr. Wu Gang, born in June 1981, previously held various leadership positions within the Yiwu Public Security Bureau and is now a party committee member of Zhejiang China Commodities City Group.
