Guangzhou Automobile Group's August 2025 sales and production decline

Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. announced total vehicle production of 128,238 units in August 2025, a 17.93% year-on-year decrease. Year-to-date production reached 1,058,393 units, a 9.74% decline. Vehicle sales for August 2025 totaled 135,695 units, down 8.43% year-on-year, with year-to-date sales at 1,010,477 units, a 12.32% decrease.

Among key subsidiaries, GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. saw its August production drop by 26.00% and sales by 37.83% year-on-year. GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. experienced a 39.01% decrease in August production and a 23.46% drop in sales. Conversely, GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. reported a modest 0.18% increase in August production and a 14.29% rise in sales.

New energy vehicle production in August was 32,349 units, down 9.47% year-on-year, with sales at 38,242 units, up 1.79%. Year-to-date, new energy vehicle production declined by 1.40% to 250,966 units, while sales were down 4.15% to 225,778 units.
