Zhejiang Zheneng Electric Power vice chairman resigns due to age

Zhejiang Zheneng Electric Power Co., Ltd. announced today, September 3, 2025, that its vice chairman, Cao Lu, has submitted his resignation. Mr. Cao Lu’s decision to resign from his positions as director and vice chairman of the fifth board of directors, as well as a member of the fifth board's strategy and investment committee, is attributed to age. His resignation report was received by the company's board of directors recently.

According to the announcement, Mr. Cao Lu's original term was set to expire on August 19, 2027. Following his resignation on September 2, 2025, he will no longer serve in the company or its controlled subsidiaries. The company also confirmed that there are no unfulfilled public commitments by Mr. Cao Lu.

The company's board of directors assures that Cao Lu's departure as director and vice chairman will not cause the number of board members to fall below the statutory minimum. Furthermore, it will not affect the normal operation of the company's board. His resignation report became effective upon delivery to the board. Zhejiang Zheneng Electric Power will proceed to elect new directors and specialized committee members in accordance with legal procedures.
