Chint Electrics sees significant H1 2025 growth, driven by smart electrical and green energy

Zhejiang Chint Electrics announced a 2.18% increase in operating revenue to 29.619 bn yuan and a 32.90% rise in net profit attributable to shareholders, reaching 2.554 bn yuan, for the first half of 2025. This growth was underpinned by the smart electrical sector, which generated 12.104 bn yuan in revenue (up 3.74%), and the green energy business, which saw revenue climb to 14.798 bn yuan with a net profit of 1.901 bn yuan. The company added over 9GW in photovoltaic installed capacity, bringing its total to approximately 25GW, with total installed capacity for all PV stations reaching 27,836.71 MW.

The company's commitment to "Quality Improvement, Efficiency Enhancement, and Return Enhancement" contributed to these results. Shareholder returns were also a focus, with a cash dividend of 0.60 yuan per share, totaling 1.289 bn yuan. Additionally, the company initiated a share buyback program for employee stock ownership, repurchasing 13.1367m shares worth 299.9202m yuan by the end of July 2025. The company's financial stability was reinforced by strong internal controls, as confirmed by an assessment of Chint Group Finance Co., Ltd., which reported a capital adequacy ratio of 18.86% and a liquidity ratio of 71.77% as of June 30, 2025.

Chint Electrics also disclosed numerous guarantees for its subsidiaries, totaling 26.142 bn yuan, representing 62.09% of its most recent audited net assets. The majority of these guarantees, including 195.9617 bn yuan for external parties, are within the scope of shareholder-approved limits and are primarily for financing photovoltaic power station projects and operational activities of its subsidiaries.
