China State Construction reports strong first-half performance, net profit up 3.2%

China State Construction Engineering Corp. (CSCEC) announced a strong performance in the first half of 2025, with total assets increasing by 6.6% to RMB3,399,758,228 thousand and net profit attributable to shareholders rising by 3.2% to RMB30,404,353 thousand. The company’s revenue, however, saw a slight decline of 3.2% to RMB1,108,307,435 thousand. This performance underscores CSCEC’s continued leadership in the construction industry, ranking 16th globally in the Fortune 500 and maintaining its position as the top engineering contractor in the ENR Global 250.

The board of directors approved the semi-annual report, along with the president’s report and a risk assessment report for its financial subsidiary, China Construction Finance Co., Ltd. The financial subsidiary reported total assets of RMB93,704,000 thousand and a net profit of RMB414,000 thousand for the period, demonstrating robust risk management. CSCEC also disclosed the provision of RMB7,610,000 thousand for asset impairment, including RMB5,990,000 thousand for financial assets like accounts receivable and RMB1,000,000 thousand for inventory.

These results reflect CSCEC's focus on high-quality development, strategic investment in key areas, and continuous improvement in operational efficiency. The company’s management confirmed that the financial statements accurately reflect its asset situation. Additionally, CSCEC disclosed significant investments in diverse projects, including real estate development and infrastructure, alongside a commitment to sustainable growth.
