Chint Electrics reports strong first-half growth, boosts shareholder returns

Chint Electrics reported robust performance in its 2025 semi-annual report summary. For the first half of the year, the company achieved total operating revenue of 29.62 billion yuan, a 2.18% increase year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged by 32.90% to 2.55 billion yuan, while total assets grew by 12.43% to 155.24 billion yuan. The weighted average return on equity rose by 1.13 percentage points to 5.91%.

The company also announced its "Quality Improvement, Efficiency Enhancement, and High Returns" action plan. As part of this, the board of directors approved a cash dividend of 0.60 yuan per share for the 2024 fiscal year, totaling 1.29 billion yuan, which has been disbursed. Furthermore, Chint Electrics initiated a share buyback program, committing between 270 million yuan and 540 million yuan to repurchase shares for an employee stock ownership plan. As of July 2025, the company had repurchased 13.14 million shares, representing 0.61% of its total share capital, at a total cost of 299.92 million yuan.

Chint Electrics continues to focus on its main businesses, with the smart electrical appliance segment contributing 12.10 billion yuan in revenue, up 3.74%. The photovoltaic sector, including Chint Anneng, generated 14.80 billion yuan in revenue and 1.90 billion yuan in net profit, adding over 9 GW in installed capacity. The company emphasizes technological innovation, global expansion, and optimized corporate governance to drive sustainable growth and enhance investor relations.
