China Eastern Airlines announces deputy chairman's resignation

China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. announced on August 26, 2025, that its board of directors approved a resolution concerning changes in senior management. The board accepted the resignation of Mr. Liu Tiexiang from his roles as deputy chairman, director, chairman and member of the board's aviation safety and environment committee, and general manager.

Following Mr. Liu Tiexiang's resignation, the company's chairman, Mr. Wang Zhiqin, will temporarily assume the duties of general manager until a successor is appointed. Mr. Liu Tiexiang's resignation, submitted on August 26, 2025, became effective upon delivery to the board, in accordance with the "Company Law of the People's Republic of China" and other relevant regulations.

Mr. Liu Tiexiang confirmed no disagreements with the board regarding his departure. China Eastern Airlines expressed gratitude for his contributions to the company's reform, development, production and operations, safe operations, and enterprise management during his tenure.
