China State Construction sees modest growth in early 2025

China State Construction Engineering Corp reported total new contract value of RMB 26,798 million for January to July 2025, up 1.4% year-on-year.

The core construction business grew 2.1% to RMB 24,868 million, driven by infrastructure contracts which surged 7.4% to RMB 8,533 million. Housing construction contracts fell 0.4% to RMB 16,258 million.

Domestic contracts increased 2.6% while overseas contracts declined 5.5%. Property sales dropped 7.4% to RMB 1,930 million.
