China Southern Airlines reports strong July passenger growth

China Southern Airlines reported 7.29% year-over-year growth in passenger traffic for July 2025, with load factor improving to 84.38%, up 0.50 percentage points.

International passenger capacity surged 9.97%, while domestic capacity rose 5.69%. Cargo operations also strengthened, with freight turnover increasing 3.60% and cargo load factor reaching 50.89%, up 1.66 percentage points.

The airline expanded its fleet to 950 aircraft by month-end, adding 8 planes while retiring one during July.
