Air China adds C919 aircraft amid mixed operational performance

Air China Limited reported mixed operational performance in July 2025, with overall passenger capacity rising 2.3% and turnover up 2.2%.

International operations showed strong growth with capacity increasing 10.3% and turnover up 9.7%, while domestic operations experienced slight declines. Cargo operations performed well with capacity up 3.3% and turnover rising 7.9%.

The airline added new routes including Hangzhou-Dunhuang and Beijing Capital-Cairo. Air China expanded its fleet with one C919, one A320, and one B737, while retiring two A330 aircraft, bringing its total fleet to 935 aircraft as of July 31, 2025.
