China Coal Energy reports mixed July performance

China Coal Energy's commodity coal output dropped 8.7% to 1,105 ten thousand tonnes in July, while sales fell 9.6% to 2,117 ten thousand tonnes.

The chemical business showed stark contrasts. Polyethylene output plunged 51.5% to 3.2 ten thousand tonnes and polypropylene fell 46.8% to 3.3 ten thousand tonnes. However, urea production surged 23.2% to 18.6 ten thousand tonnes and methanol output rose 13.4% to 16.9 ten thousand tonnes.
