Huadian International power output falls 6.4% in H1

Huadian Power International Corporation reported a 6.41% decrease in total power generation to 1,206.21 billion kWh for the first half of 2025.

On-grid power dropped 6.46% to 1,132.89 billion kWh, while average tariffs fell 1.37% to RMB 517.12 per MWh due to relaxed supply-demand conditions and increased renewable capacity reducing coal-fired unit utilization.

The group's controlled capacity reached 77,444.60 MW with new gas units in Huizhou and Jiangsu starting commercial operations.
