China Coal Energy reports mixed June production performance

China Coal Energy's commodity coal output fell 4.9% year-on-year to 1,104 ten thousand tonnes in June 2025, though cumulative output for the first six months rose 1.3%. Coal sales declined more sharply, down 11.2% in June.

The coal chemical business showed significant declines, with polyethylene output falling 36.1% and polypropylene down 44.6% in June. However, methanol production recovered with 13.0% cumulative growth despite June's 27.3% decline.
