Tongwei forecasts $750m first-half loss amid solar slump

Tongwei Co projects a net loss of 4.9-5.2 billion yuan ($750m) for the first half of 2025, driven by supply-demand imbalances in the photovoltaic industry causing sustained low prices.

This compares to a 3.129 billion yuan loss in the same period last year. The company says its core solar and feed businesses maintain stable operations despite industry pressures.
