Agricultural Bank of China announces 2024 A-share dividend

The Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) will distribute a cash dividend of CNY 0.1255 per A-share (inclusive of tax) for the year 2024. The distribution, approved at the June 27, 2025 AGM, will be paid to shareholders registered on July 16, 2025, with the ex-dividend date set for July 17, 2025, when dividend payments will commence. The total dividend payout will be approximately CNY 43.923 billion (inclusive of tax) for A-share shareholders. The total amount distributed by ABC will be approximately CNY 40.065 billion (inclusive of tax). Together with the interim dividend, the total dividend for 2024 is CNY 0.2419 per share and totals CNY 84.661 billion (inclusive of tax). Different tax implications apply depending on whether investors are individuals, resident enterprises or qualified foreign investors. The method for tax deduction is determined by the length of time an investor held the shares.
