Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power's first-half generation declines

Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power Co., Ltd. (SSE:600236) announced a decrease in total power generation for the first half of 2025, reaching 162.19 billion kWh, a 7.74% year-over-year decline. Hydropower generation totaled 135.22 billion kWh, down 6.08% compared to the same period last year due to delayed river flows. Thermal power experienced a significant decrease, falling 45.30% to 8.90 billion kWh, attributed to increased generating capacity from other power sources in Guangxi. Wind power saw a slight dip of 5.78%, generating 10.92 billion kWh. Solar power bucked the trend, showing substantial growth of 80.56%, reaching 7.15 billion kWh.
