CNPC engineering subsidiary wins major Iraq pipeline contract

China Petroleum Engineering Corp (CPEC) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Engineering Co., Ltd., has secured a major engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and commissioning (EPSCC) contract. The deal, valued at USD 294 million (approximately CNY 2.122 billion), is for the Atawi GMP pipeline project in Iraq, awarded by TotalEnergies EP Ratawi Hub SAS. The project involves constructing a gas pipeline network, with a trial operation targeted within 33 months and provisional acceptance within 36 months of the contract's effective date. CPEC anticipates a positive impact on its revenue and profits over the next 3-4 years from this project.
