Sinopec chairman Ma Yongsheng resigns due to age

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec, SSE:600028) announced the resignation of Chairman Ma YongSheng, effective June 30, 2025, due to age. Ma YongSheng also relinquished his roles as a non-executive director and head of several committees, including the Strategic Committee, the Sustainable Development Committee, and the Nomination Committee. Sinopec's board expressed gratitude for Ma's contributions to the company's governance, reform, innovation, and market value enhancement during his tenure. Vice Chairman Zhao Dong will assume the duties of Chairman until a successor is elected.
