Dongfang Electric's AGM approves key proposals, some H-share resolutions fail

Dongfang Electric Corp (SSE:600875) announced the resolutions passed at its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on June 24, 2025. Shareholders approved key proposals, including the 2024 Board and Supervisory Committee reports, the 2024 Annual Report, profit distribution plans, and the appointment of the 2025 audit firm. Revisions to the company's articles of association and rules of procedure for shareholder and board meetings were also approved. However, resolutions regarding the revision of the company's articles of association and rules of procedure for shareholder meetings failed to pass at the H-share class meeting, not obtaining the required two-thirds majority. The AGM saw participation from holders of 2,126,697,818 shares, representing 62.73% of total voting shares. Beijing King & Wood Mallesons provided legal attestation for the meeting.
