China Railway wins Kyrgyzstan railway project bids

China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) has announced that its subsidiaries have won multiple bids for the Kyrgyzstan section of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, excluding the advance construction section. The total contract value for the ZJWZQ-6, ZJWZQ-10, and ZJWZQ-11 sections is approximately CNY3.781 billion. The ZJWZQ-6 section, valued at CNY1.568 billion, spans 26.47km and includes road diversions, subgrade, bridges, tunnels, and track work. The ZJWZQ-10 section, valued at CNY1.160 billion, covers 46.46km and involves subgrade, bridges, tunnels, and track work. The ZJWZQ-11 section, valued at CNY1.053 billion, extends 14.69km and comprises road diversions, subgrade, bridges, housing, and related engineering. With a construction period of 2190 days, the contracts mark a significant step in CRCC's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative. CRCC previously secured an advance construction segment of the same project in April 2025.
