China Eastern Airlines appoints Li Zhiyong as vice general manager

China Eastern Airlines Corp (SSE:600115) announced the appointment of Li Zhiyong as Vice General Manager at its 5th board meeting of 2025, held on June 23. His term will align with that of the tenth board of directors. The appointment follows a review by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Li Zhiyong's extensive experience within the aviation industry, including his most recent roles as the company's Chief Engineer and various leadership positions within China Eastern Airlines Group, positions him well for the Vice General Manager role. The board also approved revisions to procurement and supply chain management regulations, as well as the commencement of land acquisition and asset disposal related to the company's facilities in Pudong. This latter decision was reviewed and approved by the board's Planning Development and Digital Committee.
