Guotai Junan Securities guarantees CNY 2.682bn subsidiary note issuance

Guotai Junan Securities (SSE:601211) has announced it will guarantee the issuance of medium-term notes by its wholly-owned overseas subsidiary, GUOTAI JUNAN HOLDINGS LIMITED. The issuance, totaling CNY 2.5 billion, will take place under the subsidiary's existing USD 3 billion medium-term note program established in April 2021. Guotai Junan Securities will provide an unconditional and irrevocable guarantee covering the principal, interest, and other payment obligations associated with the notes. The total guarantee amount related to this issuance is CNY 2.682 billion. Following this issuance, the outstanding guaranteed amount under the program will be USD 2.105 billion. The company states that while GUOTAI JUNAN HOLDINGS LIMITED's asset-liability ratio exceeds 70%, Guotai Junan Securities can effectively manage the associated risks.
