China Minsheng Bank successfully issues CNY 30bn bonds

China Minsheng Banking Corp (SSE:600016) has successfully issued CNY 30 billion in fixed-rate perpetual capital bonds, according to an announcement. The issuance, approved by regulatory authorities, was completed on June 23, 2025, following the book-building process which commenced on June 19, 2025. The bonds feature a reset interest rate every five years, with an initial coupon of 2.30% for the first five years. China Minsheng Bank retains the option to redeem the bonds on each interest payment date from the fifth year onwards. Proceeds from the issuance will be used to bolster the bank’s Tier 1 capital, subject to regulatory approval.
