China Construction's January-May contract value up 1.7%

China State Construction Engineering Corp has released its operating performance report for January to May 2025, showing a modest 1.7% year-on-year increase in new contract value, reaching CNY18,412 billion. Within this, the construction business saw a 2.2% increase in new contracts, totaling CNY17,108 billion. Infrastructure projects performed strongly with a 16.2% increase to CNY5,939 billion, while house building volumes declined 4.0% to CNY11,120 billion.
