Hainan Airlines reports increased traffic in May 2025

Hainan Airlines Holding (SSE:600221) announced its key operating data for May 2025, revealing significant growth in several key areas. Revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) increased by 14.85% year-over-year, driven by a 61.89% surge in international RPK. Available seat kilometers (ASK) also rose by 15.01%, with international ASK up 57.80%. The airline's passenger load factor stood at 82.06%. International passenger numbers increased by 62.37%. Cargo and mail volume also saw a significant rise, with total cargo and mail revenue tonne kilometers increasing by 45.56%. Additionally, Hainan Airlines launched new routes from Haikou to London (weekly) and Haikou to Kuala Lumpur (weekly). As of the end of May, the total operating fleet size was 346 aircraft, after retiring one EMB-190 aircraft.
