Star Lake Bioscience invests in massive amino acid project

Star Lake Bioscience Inc Zhaoqing Guangdong (SSE:600866) announced plans to invest in the construction of a 450,000-ton amino acid and supporting engineering project in the Duerbote Mongol Autonomous County Economic Development Zone, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. The total investment will not exceed CNY 3.3 billion, funded roughly equally through company funds and bank loans. The project, to be executed by subsidiaries Heilongjiang Yipin Biotechnology and Heilongjiang Yipin Energy, aims to increase production capacity, optimize the product structure, and lower overall costs. The project is expected to take 22 months to complete and is projected to generate annual sales of CNY 3.9 billion with a 10% gross profit margin upon achieving full production and sales. The project is still subject to shareholder approval and regulatory permits.
