Humanwell Healthcare: Share purchase plan completed

Humanwell Healthcare Group (SSE:600079) announced that China Merchants Life Sciences (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. has completed its previously disclosed share purchase plan. According to the announcement, China Merchants Life Sciences acquired 16,322,215 shares of Humanwell Healthcare through centralized competitive bidding on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. This represents 1.00% of Humanwell Healthcare's total share capital. The total purchase consideration amounted to CNY 34,612.17 million (excluding taxes and fees). The share purchase plan, initially disclosed on April 29, 2025, stipulated an acquisition of between 0.5% and 1% of Humanwell Healthcare's total share capital. With the completion of this purchase, China Merchants Life Sciences' ownership in Humanwell Healthcare now stands at 1.00%. The company stated that the completion of the share purchase plan will not result in any changes to Humanwell Healthcare’s controlling shareholder or actual controller.
