GAC Group's May sales drop 24.8% amid production decline

Guangzhou Automobile Group (SSE:601238) announced a decline in both production and sales for May 2025. Production volume reached 128,570 vehicles, an 8.16% year-over-year decrease, culminating in a cumulative production of 648,395 vehicles year-to-date, a 5.90% decrease. Sales figures experienced a steeper downturn, with 117,698 vehicles sold in May, representing a 24.80% decrease compared to the previous year, and a cumulative sales volume of 605,225 vehicles, down 13.48% year-to-date. Notably, sales of new energy vehicles saw an increase of 2.56% in May, while sales of energy-saving vehicles increased by 30.99%.
