Baosteel Group pledges 78m shares of Baosteel shares

Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Union announced that its controlling shareholder, Baosteel Group, pledged 78 million of the company’s unrestricted shares to China CITIC Bank’s Baotou branch on June 5, 2025. This pledge serves as collateral to support Baosteel Group’s financing activities. As of June 5, 2025, Baosteel Group directly holds 2,508,279,260 shares in Baosteel Shares, representing 55.38% of the company’s total share capital, of which 1,117,497,150 shares are unrestricted and 1,390,782,110 shares are restricted. Following this transaction, Baosteel Group has now pledged a total of 709,398,880 shares, accounting for 28.28% of its total holdings in the listed company. The announcement was made by Baosteel Shares' board of directors on June 6, 2025.
