Bank of China appoints Liu Jin as executive director

Bank of China (SSE:601988) announced the appointment of Liu Jin as an Executive Director, effective June 3, 2025. The appointment follows a shareholder vote at the company's first extraordinary general meeting of 2025, as well as approval from the National Administration of Financial Regulation. Mr. Liu will also serve on the Board's Strategy Development Committee and the Corporate Culture and Consumer Rights Protection Committee, with a term lasting three years. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Liu served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Bank of China starting March 2025 and as Vice President of the Bank from April 2024 to April 2025. His previous roles include serving as Vice President of the China Development Bank from September 2021 to January 2024, and Director-General of the Policy Research Department of the China Development Bank from November 2019 to May 2021.
