SAIC Motor reports 10.54% increase in vehicle sales for May

SAIC Motor (SSE:600104) today released its production and sales report for May 2025, showcasing a notable increase in overall vehicle sales. The report indicates total vehicle sales of 365,983 units, a 10.54% increase compared to the 332,246 units sold in May of the previous year. Production volume also increased to 411,131 vehicles, up 25.47% year-over-year. A key driver of this growth was the strong performance of new energy vehicles, with sales reaching 124,575 units, a substantial 50.30% increase compared to last May, and production reaching 151,414 units, up 84.31%. Export and overseas base sales reached 97,793 units, increasing 11.24% year-over-year.
