China Merchants Bank announces board candidate nominees

China Merchants Bank (SSE:600036) announced the proposed list of candidates for its 13th Board of Directors, subject to shareholder approval at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. The nominees include eight shareholder director candidates, with names put forward by China Merchants Group and China Ocean Shipping Group. Three executive director candidates and six independent director candidates were also nominated. The terms for the new directors are three years. Subject to regulatory approval and shareholder votes, the new board will lead China Merchants Bank into its next phase of development.
