COSCO SHIPPING completes A-share repurchase, shares to be cancelled

COSCO SHIPPING Holdings (SSE:601919) announced the completion of its A-share repurchase program, initially disclosed on April 9, 2025. During the repurchase period, which concluded on May 28, 2025, the company acquired 52,417,606 A-shares, representing 0.34% of the total share capital. The repurchase was executed at prices ranging from CNY 13.06 to CNY 14.77 per share, with an average price of CNY 14.16 per share. The total expenditure for the repurchase amounted to CNY 742,242,985, excluding transaction costs. The repurchased shares will be cancelled on May 30, 2025, reducing the company's total share capital. COSCO SHIPPING Holdings stated that the repurchase was conducted to safeguard the company's value and shareholder interests. The funds used for the repurchase were from the company's own funds and will not affect its operations, solvency or listing status.
