Yili completes share repurchase, cancels 40.5m shares

Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (SSE:600887) announced the completion of its share repurchase program initially disclosed on April 30, 2024. The company repurchased 40,540,038 shares, representing 0.6368% of its total share capital, at prices ranging from CNY21.57 to CNY30.01 per share. The total expenditure for the repurchase amounted to CNY1,006,823,221.86 (excluding transaction costs). These repurchased shares will be canceled on May 20, 2025, reducing the company's total share capital to 6,325,360,667 shares. The repurchase was conducted via centralized bidding and intended for capital reduction through share cancellation. The company stated that the repurchase reflects confidence in its future and aims to enhance shareholder value.
