China Southern Airlines reports increased April passenger traffic

China Southern Airlines (SSE:600029) announced an 8.83% year-on-year increase in passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers) for April 2025. Passenger turnover (measured by revenue passenger kilometers) rose by 12.14% compared to the same period last year. Domestic routes saw an increase of 6.92% and international routes increased by 29.45%. Passenger load factor reached 85.58%, a 2.53 percentage point increase year-on-year. Cargo capacity increased by 14.46%, with cargo turnover up 6.63%. As of the end of April, the company operated 937 aircraft after adding 8 new aircraft, and removing 3 aircraft during the month.
