China Eastern Airlines reports strong April 2025 traffic growth

China Eastern Airlines (SSE:600115) today announced its operational data for April 2025, revealing substantial year-over-year growth. Passenger capacity, measured by Available Seat Kilometers (ASK), increased by 9.66%. Passenger traffic, measured by Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPK), surged 15.56%, driving a 4.36 percentage point increase in passenger load factor, reaching 85.37%. Cargo traffic, measured by Revenue Freight Ton Kilometers (RFTK) rose 7.27%. The airline expanded its network in April with new domestic and international routes. The fleet size totaled 814 aircraft at the end of April, with one A320 series aircraft added and two A320 series and one B737 series aircraft retired.
