China Coal Energy April production data: Mixed results

China Coal Energy (SSE:601898) today released its main production and operation data for April 2025, revealing a mixed performance across its key business areas. Commodity coal production increased by 5.4% year-on-year to 1.105 million tons, with sales volumes slightly decreasing by 5.8% to 2.11 million tons. The coal chemical segment showed varied results, with polyethylene sales decreasing by 8.5% to 6,500 tons, while urea production saw a modest increase of 0.6% to 18,100 tons. Methanol production surged by 56.6% to 16,600 tons. The company's coal mining equipment business experienced a decline, with output value decreasing by 12.2% to CNY 7.9 billion.
