Foton Motor's April sales rise, fueled by new energy vehicles

Beiqi Foton Motor (SSE:600166) announced its April 2025 production and sales data, revealing a 12.46% year-over-year increase in total sales, reaching 54,816 vehicles compared to 45,066 in the same period last year. Production volume increased by 15.35% to 51,051 vehicles. A key driver of this growth was the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, with sales jumping 180.66% to 8,193 units and production surging 151.09% to 9,205 units. Sales of light trucks saw a decrease, down 22.49%.
