China Merchants Securities: CEO Wu Zongmin resigns

China Merchants Securities (SSE:600999) announced today that Wu Zongmin has resigned from his positions as executive director, chairman of the Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee, member of the Risk Management Committee of the board, and authorized representative under Rule 3.05 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, effective May 6, 2025. The resignation is attributed to retirement. According to the announcement, Mr. Wu has completed his handover, which will not affect the minimum number of directors required for the board. China Merchants Securities is actively seeking a replacement and, in the interim, Chairman Huo Da will assume the duties of the president. The company expressed gratitude for Wu Zongmin's contributions during his tenure.
